A non-custodial stablecoin wallet bringing USDt to emerging markets.
Role: Mobile Architect · Primary developer
Sorted lets people send, receive, and hold USDt and Bitcoin, receive remittances, and cash out to local mobile money. It's built for users across Africa and South Asia, many on low-end devices and patchy networks.
I'm the primary mobile developer and own the React Native app end to end, from architecture and security to CI and store releases.
What I built
- 1M+ downloads across 160 countries, including Nigeria, Kenya, Tanzania, and Bangladesh.
- Backed by a $4.4M seed round led by Tether and Gnosis.
- Built onboarding, auth, wallets, swap, earn, send/add cash, remittances, and a lite/pro mode.
- QR-based send/receive with multi-language support for emerging-market users.
- Fiat on-ramps and cash-out flows secured with encrypted MMKV storage, reCAPTCHA, and device-fingerprint binding.
- CI pipeline with lint, test, and format gates before every build; funnel analytics from day one.
